We collect information you provide and information generated when you use Stayee:

• Account details: name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and preferred language.
• Identity verification: government ID or supporting documents you upload when becoming a verified host.
• Listing and booking data: property details, photos, dates, guest counts, messages, and reviews.
• Payment information: payment method, transaction amounts, and references. Card or wallet credentials are handled by our payment partners, not stored by Stayee.
• Payout and fallback refund details: GCash registered account name and mobile number you provide for host payouts or manual/fallback guest refunds.
• Sign-in data: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email, and profile image from that provider.
• Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser type, and cookies needed to keep you signed in and to operate the service.

• Create and manage your account, listings, and bookings.
• Process booking requests, payments, downpayments, and host payouts.
• Verify host identity and keep the marketplace safe and trustworthy.
• Send transactional notices (booking requests, approvals, declines, confirmations).
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

We share personal data only as needed to operate Stayee:

• Between guests and hosts: booking and contact details necessary to complete a confirmed stay.
• Service providers: hosting, database, authentication, and payment partners who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
• Legal compliance: when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information.

For bookings, Stayee may hold a downpayment or the full amount until check-in is confirmed, then release funds to the host less applicable fees. Payment processing is performed by third-party providers; we retain transaction records as required for accounting and dispute resolution.

If you provide GCash details for payouts or fallback refunds, you are responsible for ensuring the details are accurate. Stayee may be unable to recover funds sent to incorrect account details you provide. OTP verification for GCash details is planned but may not be active during the MVP period.

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal or tax obligations. You may request deletion of your account, subject to records we are required to retain.

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Be informed about how your data is processed.
• Access and obtain a copy of your data.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated data.
• Object to processing or request erasure or blocking, where applicable.
• Lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to address any incidents responsibly.

Stayee is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you of significant changes.
